Two suspects were at the First Superior Court today for a preliminary hearing in the case involving the burglary of computers at an LDS church house last week.
District Attorney Noel Mayfield will stand as prosecuting attorney for the state. The two suspects, James Michaels (35) and an unnamed juvenile, have each been charged with two misdemeanor counts of breaking and entering and one felony burglary charge.
The arrests were made my Sheriff Deputy Geoffrey Hasty around 11pm on Wednesday, September 19. Both suspects “went peacefully” says Sheriff Hasty. When asked about evidence against the accused, the sheriff replied “I think there’s ample evidence”

I was born in Tacoma, Washington in 1976. My father was in the Air Force and our family traveled to Asia and Europe for assignment. In 1986 my father retired from the military and we found our home in Providence, Utah.
I attended secondary and high school in cache valley.
In 1992 I followed my high school sweetheart to St. George, Utah and we married in 1993. Not surprisingly we separated in 1995. In August of 1996 my son was born. I tried to return to my education by taking my GED at Bridgerland Applied Technology Center in Logan.
The need to feed myself and my baby put me directly to work in a production job at ICON Health and Fitness in Logan.
I met my second husband in 1997 and our daughter was born in 1998. I attempted to attend USU during my second pregnancy, but the stress of full time work, a toddler and a baby on the way kept me from being successful. In 2002 my third child was born and my marriage once again ended.
By this time I held a position in the marketing department at ICON as the print production coordinator. I traveled to China several times for work and enjoyed my job immensely. In 2005 I was laid off as a result of budget cuts.
After the lay-off, it was painfully obvious that without a college degree, I would not be able to acquire a similar position at any other company. I took a low-paying part-time job as a bartender at Mulligan’s Social Club and re-entered school at USU.
When I am not attending school or doing homework, I love spending time with my beautiful children and my wonderful boyfriend. I love to watch movies, and really, the news. If I actually get a chance to have control over the TV, it is usually on a news channel. I have a subscription to the Salt Lake Tribune, but don’t get as much time as I would like to read it.
To answer the question I’m sure you’re dying to know; my grandmother died on November 22, 2006. That is her face tattooed on my arm.

One of the misdemeanor counts was for vandalism. Should start out using the whole Logan, UT- blah blah blah.
Overall very well written. Like the use of quotes.
I like the way your article was done because it followed the inverse pyramid philosophy 100%. The first thing I read was the most important info (trial hearing for 2 suspects) and right after that came the tie-back sentence... Yeah, you forgot the dateline, but next time you'll have it.
I like how you made everything sound short and to the point. You made it seem like there were no other questions that needed to be asked. That was the fact pure and simple.
